Championship goes to Lewis Hamilton

Three Cheers for Lewis Hamilton! =)

He claim tht this is the most dramatic race of his whole life. He did it, just by 1 point ahead of Massa. So proud of him. Slow & steady wins the race. Hamilton is always so calm unlike Massa. =/

Brief summary of the Finale Brazilian Grand Prix @ Sao Paulo's Interlagos circuit:
  • Britain's Lewis Hamilton has bcome d youngest-ever Formula One world champion by winning the 2008 title.
  • The McLaren driver needed only to finish inside d top 5 to claim the crown, but it happened in the most dramatic of circumstances.
  • Hamilton was comfortably sitting in 4th three laps from d end, but a heavy rain shower changed the race.
  • Forced to go to the pits to change tires, he was passed by Sebastien Vettel and Timo Glock - leaving him in 6th position and potentially costing him the world title.
  • However, Glock's decision not to change to wet tires slowed him down on the final lap, allowing Hamilton to pass and finish 5th - enough for the championship.
  • Hamilton's nearest rival, Ferrari's Felipe Massa, who sat 7 points adrift coming into the final round, won the race.
  • Spurred on by a massive home crowd, Massa charged to a comfortable victory, however, it was never going to be enough to win the championship unless Hamilton finshed outside the top 5.
  • The result left the crowd unhappy and Massa mortified as they initially believed the Ferrari driver had taken the crown.
  • And the champion goes to Lewis Hamilton!!

Hip Hip Hooray~
